We do a lot of research before carrying a brand in our shop, as we want to support small vendors and businesses. Get to know the products in our shop by reading about individual businesses.
The Left Hook Coffee hails from Orlando, FL, starting as and maintaining the “small batch” roasting idea. The name came from a lot of missed opportunities for growth in learning. A right hook in boxing is a powerful punch with “knock out” potential. A boxer is trained to protect themselves from a right hook through practice. In life we face those “right hooks” everyday in the form of being late for work, spilling something on ourselves, or forgetting the keys. We practice, we train, and we get better. Those left hooks are the far and few between, the ones we don't see coming, that moment our life changes for better or worse. The Left Hook Coffee will be the pushing force of an idea that no matter where we are in life everyone should be able to learn new things and grow. No one wanted to teach us to roast, the passion was there, but no interest in taking the time to educate. So we bought a used one pound roaster and messed up as much as we could until we found a roasting style we felt was approachable, consistent, and good!
