Here at Rebus Works, we believe in building our community, and one of the best ways to do that is to have some laughs, create something, and learn something new while having a couple of Groovewagon drinks!

We're making Norwegian Resistance Hats.

During WWII, Norwegians began wearing red knit caps as a sign of resistance to the Nazis who had occupied us. Thursday, February 26th, 1942, such wearage was outlawed as a form of protest.Therefore we encourage anyone and everyone, everywhere to put on a red hat on February 26th, which this year 2026, happens to fall on a Thursday again — in support of Democracy, Menneskeverd, and Unity.

This month, Johana and Krystle from PARCERO STUDIO will be leading us in our project.

Parcero Studio is a cozy yarn and gift shop in downtown Raleigh built around creativity, connection, and community. They offer beautiful yarns, modern handmade goods, and beginner-friendly classes designed to make fiber arts feel approachable and fun. Whether you’re picking up your first hook or working on your fiftieth project, Parcero is a space to gather, learn, and create together.

ABOUT JOHANA
Johana Melbert is the founder of Parcero Studio and a passionate fiber artist who loves turning strings into things. What started as a creative outlet turned into a dream of building a welcoming space where people can slow down, learn a new skill, and find community. She specializes in beginner-friendly crochet and believes anyone can make something beautiful.

Krystle is an experienced knitting instructor with a deep love for fiber arts and community learning. She has taught classes at Parcero Studio and is known for her patient teaching style and strong technical knowledge. Krystle enjoys helping makers of all levels feel confident and supported as they build their skills.
