Rebus Works started out as a Saturday Farmer's Market 8 years ago, but now we have a weekly Market where we sell locally grown and made dairy, meats, produce, and products.

BLUE THUMB FARMS

Blue Thumb is the personal passion of Mary Cove and Allison Culbreth — two female scientists and hydroponic farmers who met in graduate school at North Carolina State University.

Together, they launched Blue Thumb with the idea of applying their scientific expertise to create sustainable, fresh produce for their local community. Let Blue Thumb Farms show you a fresh way to grow.

OAK CITY COFFEE ROASTERS

Oak City Coffee would like to bring you closer to the source of your coffee by introducing you to your growers and harvesters.

Your coffee started with some rightfully proud farmers, and getting it from their farm to your cup is a captivating story; they believe it's worth telling.

 

SMALL SEED BAR

A passion project turned business, for wife - and - husband team, Holly and Shane MacKinnon. They saw the need for a simple, real food protein bar. Small Seed came about after founders were tired of compromising their health for a quick on-the-go snack or post-workout meal.

These protein bars are created solely to give people the satisfaction they crave with all the necessary nutrients to provide optimal health. All bars are made from wholesome ingredients provided by mother nature.

TINY FARM

Tiny Farm is Shonna Greenwell (Rebus Works' owner) and Tom "Art" Mekus' garden behind the Rebus Works building. Some of the produce items for sale at The Market come from this tiny plot of land, such as okra, tomatoes, potatoes, and fresh herbs.

LO & BEHOLD NATURALS

Lo & Behold is a 100% natural body care company based in Durham, NC.

Through local partnerships with NC farmers and producers, they bring you sustainable and exotic botanicals.

Their products are never tested on animals and are 100% free of parabens, sulfates, petroleum, and synthetic ingredients (like artificial fragrances and preservatives).‍

VERA LUCE FARM

ASHE COUNTY CHEESE

Established in 1930 and located in the picturesque Blue Ridge Mountains, Ashe County Cheese produces on average 40,000 pounds of cheese per week. They are one of the oldest cheese plants in the Carolinas.

They are currently producing about 20 different cheese varieties. Their viewing room is open daily and allows people to watch the cheesemaking process.

You can sample and purchase the products they make in their retail shop across the street from the factory.

BENELUX COFFEE

From their trips abroad, owners Steven and Keta have set out to bring their love of Belgian Street food and coffee to the US. Combining Brussels-Style Wafels and a good cup of coffee, Benelux was born.

Working directly with farmers through a family-owned coffee importer, their coffee beans are roasted in small batches as soon as they get to Raleigh, which gives you the freshest cup of coffee around!

BENNY T'S VESTA DRY HOT SAUCE

Benny T's Vesta was founded in 2007 by Ben Tuorto, an avid chile and spicy food enthusiast.

Turned off by the flood of gimmicky and often unpleasant tasting hot sauces and single dimension hot salsas, Ben was inspired to use only fresh chiles and began exposing many friends and family members to his love of adding heat to food.

After several years of perfecting the right combination of flavor and heat - Vesta was born.

Based in Marshall, NC, Buchi Kombucha is USDA certified organic kombucha. FIRSTHAND FOODS

FOX FARM & FORAGE LLC

Fox Farm & Forage LLC is a small woman-owned farm that produces quality gourmet edible mushrooms that are all grown indoors in a controlled environment utilizing sustainable farming practices.  Organic substrates are used as much as possible.

This venture spawned (pun intended) from her obsession with foraging for mushrooms. She put countless hours into research as well as maintaining her small operation in the most hygienic manner possible.

HOMELAND CREAMERY

Based in Julian, NC, Homeland Creamery's milk comes from Holsteins (and a few Jersey’s) produced without artificial growth hormones or antibiotics. Homeland Creamery milk is enzyme-rich due to the low-temperature vat pasteurization process.

Because of this, many people who have been diagnosed as lactose intolerant can drink Homeland Creamery's milk!
