Everything's Fine touches on everyday scenes from unfamiliar places and times. Featuring vibrant color and strange creatures, her work has been described on more than one occasion as "adorably unsettling". Not content to focus on only one discipline, she also paints realistic watercolor portraits of people and animals and creates highly popular and one-of-a-kind Matryoshka (nesting) dolls featuring musicians and pop culture heroes.

Her digital work is drawn by hand on a tablet and can be found on album covers, t-shirts (many for NC company Bifocal Media), tour and event posters, book covers, board games, and more. She also draws her own line of vinyl art stickers and apparel.

Kristin Walsby (also known under her 'art name' Brutalsquid) is an illustrator and painter working predominantly in acrylic paint and digital mediums. Born and raised in Vermont, she now lives in Raleigh with her husband, artist Brian Walsby, and their two daughters, Annabel and Willow.

Kristin also founded and organizes the Raleigh DIY Punk Rock Flea Market, which, since 2018, has provided a place for outsider artists and local makers to make their work available to the public.
