Artist

Shawn Ireland is a potter residing in Penland, NC.  With a kick powered wheel, he forms pots that retains clay's natural softness.  The clay is locally sourced and hand mixed and all pots are wood fired from salvaged burn piles at a nearby sawmill.  Each pot is unique with many variations from the firing process producing objects that are similar to each other but never identical.  Shawn was a Core student and resident artist at Penland Schools of Crafts, and holds a BFA from Kutztown University.
