a is for abstract | day 3

with Claudia Corletto

Our young artists have passed the mid-week mark and it has been fun seeing how they have progressed each day. Who else is looking forward to seeing what they create today? I, for one, can't wait! Check back tomorrow for another update. Coming next week is Unique Batik and there are only a few spots left! Come and learn the ancient art of Batik, with Anne Courie-Meulink. Gain a greater appreciation of an ancient embellishment technique using traditional methods of creating batik designs, transferring designs to cloth, masking areas using hot wax, and dyeing techniques to create beautiful handmade fabrics. Fabric is provided, however students may bring white 100% cotton pre-washed t-shirts, summer dresses, or any 100% cotton fabric on which to work. abstract_day3_rev1
